As part of my post cancer rehabilitation program, I was interested in determining whether external stimulants would assist in generating a signal from my penis to my brain and back to my penis to create an erection.
My theory was that by applying an external stimulant, could I assist in the repair of the nerves damaged during the surgery, or find one single nerve that was still functioning, or even, finding an alternative nerve pathway.
External stimulation can come in many forms, either from simple touch, to the use of vibrators, or as discussed in this article, the use of lubricants. So to test the theory, I selected three different personal lubricants that contained ingredients that were marketed as enhancing your sexual experience.
The objective of the tests was to determine which of the three lubes provided an external applied stimulus to aid in gaining some form of an erection. The tests involved the solo testing with and without sildenafil.
The lubricants trialed were available from my local Adult Shop and online.
Lube #1 – Sensuva Ultra Stimulating ON Insane Personal Moisturiser
For’s
Fragrant and tasty
Slippery, as expected
Fragrant oils remove the taste and smell of urine leakage
Good quality ingredients
Against’s
No warmth, No cooling
No tingles
No erection stimulus
Recommendation: Good quality lubricant for solo and partnered use, but not as stimulus to assist with erectile dysfunction.
Lube #2 – Eros Hot Power Stimulation Gel
For’s
Super Dooper Hot, a small amount applied produces a lot of heat
Lots of hot tingles, which varied in intensity depending on where I apply it (ie glans, shaft, scrotum)
Slow burn over 10 minutes that generates stimulation which repeatedly kick-started an erection
Against’s
Do not put this lube near your eyes (ouch!)
Take extreme care when applying it indirectly to your partner’s labia (eeeeuuuwww!!)
Not so good as a lubricant, as the quantity required for lubrication, generates too much heat downstairs
Recommendation: If I am looking for a kick-start to achieve an erection with a slow burning feeling, this is the one. Ideal for solo stimulation and ED rehab where you can control the quantity and level of heat.
Lube 3 – ON Power Glide For Him
For’s
Fragrant and tasty
Slippery as expected
Fragrant oils removes the taste and smell of urine leakage
Good quality ingredients
Suitable for use with a partner
No burning feeling.
When applied liberally, it did generate the desired results of forming an erection.
Against’s
No obvious drawbacks experienced
Recommendation: This lube produces the desired outcome, with or without assistance from Sildenafil. The external effect on the skin is subtle, with no obvious effects of hot or cold, but within minutes, stimulation signals to the brain and back to the penis via damaged wiring generates the required kick-start. With no burning effect and a silky smooth lube feeling, this product is ideal for solo or partnered fun.
Climacturia & Water Based Lubes
A small problem with water based lubes and the common post prostatectomy issue of climacturia, is that the urine leakage can dissolve the water based lube resulting in the loss of the silky gliding feeling. If leakage is a problem, add more lube or use a Cock Ring or similar restricting device.
A benefit of using a lube that has good tasting qualities, is that it tackles the problem that I have been told by my partners undertaking oral stimulation, that the lube reduces the vinegar taste of urine leakage.
Enjoy your experimentation and if you find a lubricant that may assist other men, please share.
